Hello everyone!
I am so sorry it has been so long since I’ve written. Since I was last in touch, I have attended a Hindu wedding in Nepal, I conducted three weeks of fieldwork for my independent research project, I wrote and presented on my findings from my research, and lastly, I traveled over 24 hours to Madagascar, where I have been for almost 3 weeks with 10 other students from my college while we have been mentoring Malagasy students in English, TOEFL, and SAT preparation. So, to say the least, I have been rather busy! I have been meaning to write my final blog for a while now, but wrapping up my research, limited wifi, and adjusting to an entirely new country have gotten in the way. So, again, sorry for the delay, but I am so happy to share with you now a bit more about what I’ve been up to and what I am planning next.
Study Abroad in Nepal: Himalayas and More
Hello everyone!
Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve sent an update- my life here has been very busy and often without wifi! Since I last wrote, I spent two weeks traveling in the mountains of northern Nepal, and two weeks back in Kathmandu for my last few classes and a week of exams. According to the result of my final language exams, I am officially an ‘Intermediate’ Nepali speaker… which doesn’t really feel accurate to my experience here since sometimes I feel like I can barely get around. But, I also know I have learned so much in these past two months, so I guess it’s true!

Hello again from Nepal!!
I am writing this reflection on March 19th, during the night before I travel to the Himalayas for the next two weeks. During my two weeks in the mountains, I will be in a very remote area and I will have quite limited wifi access. Although this will be a big change from my busy life in Kathmandu, I am very much looking forward to escaping the noise of the city and disconnecting from the internet. But before I go off the grid, I wanted to share some of my experiences from the last few weeks!

Hello from Nepal!!!
As of today, I have been in Nepal for two weeks and I wanted to share some of my experiences with friends, family, professors, and anyone else who may be interested! I say “some” of my experiences because these last two weeks have felt more like two months because my days have been so full. The first few days of the semester were spent in orientation in Dhulikhel, about an hour outside of Kathmandu. Dhulikhel was beautiful and provided some faraway but spectacular views of the Himalayas. During this time, I really enjoyed easing into the semester and getting to know the other students in the program.
